My name is Lana Robinson and I started my first home business with health and wellness products in August of 2004.  I quickly found that it was difficult to get my friends and family interested in the products, although they were fantastic. After using the company's botanically-based skin care products for only a week, I received many positive comments - I even had several people ask me if I had gone to a plastic surgeon. That was my favorite compliment of all! Even with all those compliments, it was difficult to change the buying habits of my friends and family - they still just went to their department store and bought something else from a brand they trusted that didn't work as well, cost more and didn't last near as long. 

It took me a while, and I eventually concluded that I should not depend on my friends, family, or even acquantances to build my business. I knew the next step was to find people that were actually interested in the products or the business opportunity, and that's when my online adventure began. You see, I didn't have a large circle of influence so I had to start at the bottom and build my way up to where I wanted to be. I knew the basics of how to use my computer; how to check my email, how to log into eBay, how to waste time on facebook, etc... you get the picture. 

So, I sought to learn everything I could about how to market a business online. I enrolled in classes that cost me $2,500 to learn "everything I needed to know about how to build a business online".  I started marketing my health and wellness business online using the techniques taught and then it happened.... I started enrolling new business builders and had new customers (people that just wanted to buy the products and weren't interested in the business aspect of it).  Just when things were going so well, something else happened... I unexpectedly got on the "radar" of my network marketing company and the top producers of that health and wellness business.  So, one morning I received a phone call from the company's Policy & Procedure department telling me that another top distributor for the company contacted them because of my online presence being against their company policy.  I was informed that I was not allowed to have a website other than the company replicated site for my business and that if I didn't remove the 'offending site' within 48 hours they would discontinue my membership with the company.   Talk about a scare tactic.... So, while I was on the phone with him, I did some research of my own (I just love doing that!) and found many other sites that were against their policies and told him about those offending sites... turns out that those websites were in place before they changed their policies and I was informed that those websites were "grandfathered in".   You see, it was Okay for some distributors to have a website 'breaking all the rules' (those top producers that turned me in) but it was not Okay for me?   Seriously.  Maybe I was making too many sales?  Who knows.

Talk about a shocker! But that didn't stop me... I did a lot more research and found an even better way to build my business online and stay within their rules.   As a matter of fact, what I'm about to reveal is something your upline is probably already doing and either 1) won't tell you about or 2) doesn't ever want you to know.  Heres the hard truth... if you start doing better than your upline in your network marketing company of choice, you could magically disappear from their downline because you become your own upline.  Then, your original upline could get cut out of the commissions from your efforts because you all of a sudden become a level (or two or three) above them.

Step 6 )  Setup a Squeeze Page

I understand that not everyone wants to tackle the burden of creating their own website right now.  It actually took me 3 years before I had my own website for my business.  I waited way too long!   With that being said, if you are NOT going to have your own full-fledged website for your home business you at least need what is referred to as a "squeeze page".  This is a mini-site that have a few words on it and your name and picture along with an opt-in form so your prospects can learn more about what you are offering.  The prospect will opt-in to your list (see Step 5) and start receiving the messages automatically over a pre-determined period of time.  They'll get one message the first day and then the next day they'll get another message, and so on.  

The best squeeze page maker I've seen in a long time is InstantSplash.  

With InstantSplash you can create mini-sites in a matter of seconds with your name and picture on them, with any color scheme you can imagine.  Free members can have 5 splash pages and PRO members can have unlimited splash pages.  PRO members also have the ability to add their autoresponder opt-in form to the page!

I have gotten 1000 hits consistently from these solo ads.

DSA Contact Solos As you will see they are not cheap but you get what you pay for. Start at $127. You will build a large list in minimal time if have the budget to place ads here.

Vector Central 1 Solo ad $27 plus you get a free bonus valued at $15. Multiple ad packges are cheaper. I am testing now, if you are interested try this as it is cheap. Also do ezine sponsor ads.

The Network Marketing Success Ezine 70,000+ members, 2 solo's for the price of 1, $97 total. Plus lots more options. Expect a long wait, up to 6 weeks even, but this must mean they work. No recent tests.

Weekly Deal - The Weekly Deal owners did not offer a special for our members but they are always running great specials so stay tuned to their website and grab some of their ad space before other members beat you to it.

NOTE: The list above is just a few of the thousands of potential ezines available for you to advertise with online. I need your help keeping this list up to date. If you see a link that is not working or no longer valid, please email me with the information so I can update this page. Also, if you know of an ezine that should be listed here that will benefit all future members you refer to this training site, please send me the link so I can add that ezine to the list on this page.

TIP: All other members of our team may be using the same list of ezines above because it's so easy and convenient. The only problem is that if too many people are running the same ads to the lists above, you're results will be less than they could be. There are 2 potential solutions to this.

Solutions:

A) Write your own ezine ad that is written in your voice and is substantially different from the pre-written ezine ad provided in your Infinity Downline member's area. This will make your ad stand out from the crowd and give you a better opportunity to get attention and pull in sales in the ezines that "everyone" else is using. Solution

B) Become a member of The Directory of Ezines and run the pre-written ad I provided you with above in ezines that other members are not already advertising in. Ezine advertising has the power to stand alone and be the ONLY advertising strategy you employ to build your business if you do it optimally. Option 1: Use one of Infinity Downline's pre-written ezine solo ads located in your member's area in the 'Scripts' menu.  All you need to do is Copy & Paste that ad into a text editor like Notepad and then edit it to include YOUR Infinty Downline sign up link, name, etc. Then send it to as many ezines as you want to grow your Infinity Downline membership base with email marketing. Option 2: Write your own ezine solo ad or special offer. TIP: Even more important than the words themselves is the sincerity and value of your offer. If you have a website that is getting traffic already, write an ad that explains that you are going to setup an Infinity Downline promotion on your site and will promote the Infinity Downline sign up links of the first 5-10 people who join your team through the ezine ad your sending. This way, you have actually added value to the Infinty Downline offer itself and demonstrated your commitment to help your team build their business. Even if you don't have a website that is getting traffic already, you can use this same strategy by explaining that you are about to invest XXX dollars in advertising to promote Infinty Downline and "When you sign up now, all the people I refer after you will be placed below you!", etc. The point is to create a *value-added offer*, demonstrate your commitment to help the person you are referring build their downline and residual income and then actually do it! When you put *SERVICE* (not hype) into your marketing, the world will beat a path to your door!
